Every week, they gather in groups called Beaver Colonies to hop, skip and jump their way through lots of different games and activities – achieving anything they set their minds to, and having lots of fun along the way!
We have 2 Beaver Colonies:
These two colonies work together but may run separate activities/programs depending on what badge work needs to be completed by their young people. All trips and events will be open to all!
From your very first day at Beavers to your last day at Explorers, being a Scout is all about trying new things and steadily growing strong.
Start with your membership badge and climb all the way up. You can work towards as many as you like, at your own pace. And by the time you move on to Cubs, you'll have a whole host of achievements under your belt.

Our adults aren't experts in everything... If you have a great hobby or skill you would like to share with young people for a few sessions a year please do get in touch with us. Don't worry if you aren't very confident our leaders are always happy to help run the sessions with guidance on the activity from yourself.
If you love being around young people and being part of their journey into adulthood you are more than welcome to come and try out some sessions and see how you get on. The adult leadership teams have so much fun and work really well together, you will hopefully feel part of our Blandford Scout Group family!
